In Depth: Zeus was out of our first Wenzi-Jagar litter and was the smallest pup, small enough to be called Peewee for the first year. He had a mild case of parvo a few weeks after he was born and we had to keep him separated from the rest of his siblings for several weeks. Needless to say, he became a favorite of everybody who would visit. We sold him to a couple in Alabama as a pet, then got him back when they divorced a year and a half later and we realized when we saw him that he had show potential, so we sent him on circuit in 2005 with Jimmy Dwyer and he finished in about 3 months.
When Mary’s brother Joe drove him down to Florida to drop him off at Jimmy’s, Joe’s wife fell in love with him (they already had a pet male from Wenzi’s 2nd litter) and so he is retired with them in Ormond Beach, FL. Only rule is that they can’t neuter him in case we need him for stud…
